Wetherby to Haworth, Thursday 27th June 2024, 72 miles

The starters this week were Glyn, Nick, Sean Christie, Geoff and Graham. Everyone had already informed me that they were all going to turn at the coffee stop in Guisley and there was some disappointment that at least one "unknown" had not appeared. We were going to head through Collingham, Thorner and North Leeds but had to divert to meet Ian at Geoff’s request. So normal route out through Sicklinghall. Then down to Harewood Bridge and up Creskeld Lane. We had coffee in Mi Sucre in Guisley and I had a mental debate about whether or not to abandon going to Haworth. Glyn headed for a short ride home and it was great to see him back out on a Thursday. Geoff and Nick headed for Otley and I pointed Sean in the right direction for the Cow and Calf. Since I was already well on the way towards Bingley I headed towards Dick Hudsons.
I had lunch in Cullingworth, passed through Haworth without stopping and took Lord Lane to Oakworth. Then it was Goose Eye, Laycock, Steeton and Silsden. Between Silsden and Ilkley there was a light shower but nothing horrible and made my way to La Stazione for an afternoon Coffee.
I just made it home for 5.00.
