Boston Spa – Selby, Tuesday 12th July 2022, 46miles

At around 09:00, four Bramham residents (John B, Kenn, Bob and me (Keith)) rode up the hill to Boston Spa – 20mins later the same four left Boston Spa heading for Selby. It was warm but not as hot as Monday which made it a comfortable ride as the team made their way through Bolton Percy, Appleton Roebuck and Acaster Selby before crossing the Ouse at Naburn. The resurfaced path is great but we left it quite soon and headed on the road to Cawood. At Cawood, John left us and we took the quiet back road to Lordship Lane. There was literally no traffic which is always a plus. At Selby we turned back towards Sherburn then cut up through Biggin to Church Fenton. Unfortunately, the café at the airfield was closed so we continued back through Ulleskelf and Stutton getting Kenn home not long after his target time of 13:00. Decent weather and no incidents so an OK morning in the end.
