Bramham – Byram, Sat 31 July 2021, 33.3miles

Six riders out – Darren, Kenn, Keith and Phil with two guests in Alison and Bob. This was a steady ride exploring some villages rarely visited by the club. Ledsham has some very impressive old buildings, including the pub and Ledston is pleasant but on a sweeping downhill stretch so we focussed on the road ahead. The road alongside Fairburn Ings was a delight although it ends with a sharp uphill into Fairburn village. After Byram, we headed back through Hillam, Monk Fryston (complete with a house with a thatched roof) before heading back on the usual route through Sherburn and Stutton.
Song of the week (according to Keith) is See It Right by Shadowlark ( Give it a listen – you may be pleasantly surprised – especially if you like Alison Moyet!
