Wetherby – Malton, 15th April 2021, 85 miles

A lovely sunny spring morning saw eight Wheelers set off for Malton. First coffee stop was the market square at Easingwold where the warm sunshine reminded us that April would normally see Wheelers in Spain – hopefully next year.

Dennis said cheerio in Easingwold and seven headed for Malton via Terrington Bank. The usual Station café being unavailable, decent sandwiches were taken opposite the Norman church of St Michael’s.

The return leg saw us ride through York and a final coffee and cake stop at Little Acorns in Copmanthope where Mike B carried on to meet his off road club.

Return completed via Askham Richard saw 80-100+ miles clocked up by the above plus Graham (thanks for the excellent route) Sean, Michael, Geoff, Bob and Pete. Civilised riding by all with no one being “como una cabra” as they say in Spain.
